Delhi Metro has brought a revolution in
public transport system in the capital city of India. CDS was specially
called for undertaking the dewatering work at main Delhi and Barakhamba Road
Station. The excavation depth that was decided was 18m below the ground
level. Now, CDS is proud to mention that it has accomplished this
challenging, prestigious and time bound project to the satisfaction of the
project authorities.
Wellpoint dewatering was required in the aforementioned areas due to the
following reasons :
- Considering the lowering water table in these areas, and allowing
excavation in the dry state.
- To reduce the hydrostatic pressure on sheet pile/diaphragm walls.
- For preventing base uplifts.
- To increase the stability of the side slopes to the excavation.
- To avoid the possible loss of fines and consequent settlement of
the nearby structures.

Silliguri Hydel Power
Project
Three hydro electric power projects
undertaken were in cities of Silliguri & West Bengal. CDS provided its
equipment and services for all the three projects to prestigious civil
contractors of the country like M/S NPCC Ltd, M/S Gammon India Ltd., for
carrying out these projects.
Larji Hydro Electric Power
Project
CDS provided its equipment and services
and carried out dewatering operations at the barrage, power house and tunnel
works of this project. This project work was quite challenging due to
geological conditions.
